I’m always a bit surprised when I start to engage a new client and I ask the question, “What kind of leader are you?” The immediate response I get back is “good.” When I press a bit further, I find the criteria for the assessment of “good” not-so-good. 

If you are in charge of HR, organizational development, or are the owner of a company, you want some benchmarks for developing your leadership team. You may already have a retention issue with the tight labor market. Let’s not amplify the problem with bad leaders or a horrible boss that drives even more employees away.
