My January 2018 blog, ”Bad Boss? Time to Reboot Your Leadership Style for a Productive 2018?” highlights 8 leadership missteps that de-motivate staff, lead to low levels of employee engagement, and can have a negative impact on the profitability of your company. Sometimes new leaders lack the skills and mentoring to contribute to the management of the organization. The December 2017 Harvard Business Review article “Turning Potential to Success” highlights the fact that a gap exists between the raw talent that can be cultivated within managers in an organization and the low success rate internal leadership development programs have in building those leadership skills.
